How many watts of LED street lamp (how to choose power)

Street light projects, including urban trunk roads, industrial parks, townships, viaducts and other street light renovation projects, how should engineers, enterprises, and owners choose the wattage of street lights, and how many watts are general LED street lights?


The power of led street lights is generally 20w-300w, but the general road led street lights are low power, such as 20w, 30, 50w, 80w.


Normal street lamps are 250W metal halide lamps, while high-power LED street lamps should be less than 250W, high-power LED street lamps, as the name suggests, are street lamps with a single power greater than 1 watt and using new LED semiconductor light sources. At present, the standard of LED street lamps is generally the average illuminance of the uniformity of road surface illuminance of 0.48, which is greater than the national traditional standard of 0.42, and the spot ratio is 1:2, which is in line with road illuminance. (Actual 1/2 center light spot reaches 25LUX, 1/4 center light intensity reaches 15LUX, the minimum light intensity at 16 meters is 4LUX, and the overlapping light intensity is about 6LUX. The current market street lamp lens material is an improved optical material, with a transmittance ≥ 93% , temperature resistance -38-+90 degrees, anti-UV ultraviolet rays, yellowing rate of 30,000 hours without change, etc. It has a very good application prospect in new urban lighting. It can adjust the depth of light, and the color and other characteristics will not change. Changed by dimming.

                   


 Usually, when we buy LED street lights from street light manufacturers, there are usually professional technicians who will design a street light renovation plan for you. The technical personnel and salesmen of street lamp manufacturers have rich experience in street lamp engineering application. The following methods are for reference only:


1. Test area


The test road is 15 meters wide, the street lamp is 10 meters high, the lamp arm is 1 meter and the elevation angle is 10 degrees, and the street lamp is tested on one side; the test area is 15mx30m, considering that the narrower road has low requirements for the lateral light distribution of the street lamp, and provides applications at the same time The data of the area of 12mx30m is for reference and selection of roads of different widths.


2. Test data


The data is the average of three times, and the light decay is calculated according to the first and third results. The time span is 100 days and the lights are normally turned on and off every day.


3. Evaluation of luminous flux, luminous efficiency and illuminance uniformity


The calculation formula of luminous efficiency is luminous flux divided by input power


The calculation formula of luminous flux is the average illuminance x area


The illuminance uniformity is the ratio of the minimum illuminance and the maximum illuminance of the measuring point in the lateral direction of the road


In the application of street lamp engineering, how many wattage street lamps should be installed on the road should be combined with the street lamp effect of the manufacturer. On the same road, the 100W LED street lamps provided by manufacturer A can meet the lighting requirements, while the street lamps provided by manufacturer B may only need 80W or even lower wattage to meet the lighting requirements.
